Twenty Years of Period Craft

Our focus has always been on delivering authentic period design in a way that works for today’s builders and homeowners

Paul Baker

General Manager, Early New England Homes

Founded in 2006 by Roger Barrett Jr. and Roger Barrett Sr., Early New England Homes is a division of Country Carpenters, Inc. — a company with roots stretching back to 1974. What began as a passion for preserving 1750s architectural heritage has grown into a nationally recognized source for pre-engineered period home kits, shipped across the United States.

Every home combines a timbered ceiling system inspired by traditional methods with the efficiency of conventionally framed walls — delivering authentic colonial character without compromise
